DGE-560TEOL

Gigabit PCI Express Network Adapter

Description

The DGE-560T Gigabit PCIe Network Adapter is a high performance adapter designed for the high-speed PCI Express Bus Architecture. The DGE-560T offers increased bandwidth, reliability, and more functionality than standard PCI network cards. It is specifically designed to allow throughput at rates of up to 2Gbps, eliminating the bottleneck that exists with current 32-bit and 64-bit PCI bus architectures. Advanced features such as 802.3x flow control, SNMP for network monitoring and management, and Jumbo Frame interoperability with your current networking equipment are also supported.

Advanced Features and Security
The DGE-560T features onboard screening of 802.1Q VLAN Tagged Ethernet frames for use in networks that support 802.1Q VLAN features like subjects, traffic control, and security. It also supports 802.1p Priority Tagging for traffic prioritization. In addition, the DGE-560T supports 802.3ad Link Aggregation. This provides a means to increase bandwidth to workstations and servers by “trunking” multiple cards together forming one large bandwidth pipe. In today’s overpopulated and bandwidth starved networks, 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) can dramatically improve performance of your overburdened LAN servers.

Fail-Over Protection
When using multiple network adapters, the DGE-560T provides fail-over protection in the event that one adapter malfunctions. In this situation, your server or workstation traffic is simply passed over the remaining functional network adapter connections, guaranteeing a safe and uninterrupted transmission of data. Best of all, with the DGE-560T’s “Hot-Plug” support, a replacement adapter can be installed without having to power down your system*. The DGE-560T also supports TCP, UDP, and IP Checksum Calculation as well as TCP Segmentation to improve overall system performance by shifting CPU intensive tasks away from your host CPU and onto the DGE-560T adapter itself.

Remote Management and Support
The DGE-560T includes many additional advanced features such as Advanced Power Management and Wake-on-LAN support. It also supports remote network boot using both PXE and RPL, allowing the network administrator to boot the PC from anywhere on the network. The DGE-560T supports all major operating systems including Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2003, guaranteeing compatibility with existing server and workstation environments. The adapter also features a cable diagnostic utility that automatically detects when you have a bad cable, making troubleshooting much easier. With advanced features, high-performance architecture and reliability, the D-Link DGE-560T is the perfect companion for any network that requires a Gigabit Network Adapter at an affordable price.

* Target system must have hot-plug slots. Target system must also be running a hot-plug compatible Operating System.
